Our Prayers

"Beware in your prayer, above everything, of limiting God,
not only by unbelief, but by fancying that you know what he can do." - Andrew Murray

Hebrews 10 tells us that we can come boldly into the presence of the Lord. We have and share together direct access to the throne of God, the One who inclines His ear to hear from His people. We enter into the Holy of Holies by the Blood of the Lamb and sit at His feet.

In Luke Chapter 10 we see Mary sitting at the feet of Jesus, beholding the beauty of Jesus and listening to His every word. It is here we focus our praises and bring our concerns and desires before the Lord. It is here the real battle is fought. It is a spiritual battle of holding one another up in prayer. Our prayers are like the fragrance of incense to our Lord.

In Exodus Chapter 17 we see Aaron and Hur holding up the hands of Moses. The holding up of hands is symbolic of holding one another up in prayer. When Moses' hands were held up the children of Israel prevailed and when his hands were let down the enemy prevailed. Let's look together to our great and awesome God with our prayers. It is in Him only we find victory.

AN ANSWER TO PRAYER: For approximately 30 years Glenn and Betty Hathaway prayed to God for Calvary Chapel Hilo. They never gave up but they kept right on praying to Him - for a very long time! God answers prayers!

We look forward to sharing more praise reports with you as we watch what God is doing.
